Terms and Conditions of Boarding at the Megalong Valley Cattery

ALL GUESTS MUST BE DESEXED.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All guests must vaccinated to a minimum of F3 AT LEAST 2 WEEKS prior to boarding with us.

Before your cat may be admitted to our cattery it is essential that a copy of the current vaccination certificate has been previously received by us. Please be aware that this condition is non negotiable and will be strictly enforced.

In the event your Cat/s should arrive without the required vaccination certificate they will automatically be refused admission into the cattery until confirmation of vaccination status has been received from your designated vet.

FLEA AND WORM TREATMENTS

For the benefit of both your own cat and the other guests in the cattery it is a requirement that all cats must be treated for fleas and worms prior to boarding.(This is a trust thing of which we have no control) However, we will treat any sign of either parasite and please be aware that the cost of any such treatments will be charged to the owner.

AILMENTS & PRE-EXISITING MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Owners must advise of any pre-existing ailments or medical conditions which are known by either yourself or your vet on the booking form. A letter may be required confirming that your Vet is happy for your Cat to be boarded with us for the duration of its stay without suffering any ill effects.

OPENING HOURS FOR CHECK INS / CHECK OUTS

PLEASE REFER TO THE NEWS ITEMS ON OUR HOMEPAGE FOR ANY CURRENT RESTRICTIONS AS PER OUR COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY WHICH MAY AFFECT YOUR CHECK IN/CHECK OUT. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE REQUIREMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO PERIODIC CHANGES). 

Monday to Friday 10:00 am – 1:00 pm *** CLOSED EVERY WEDNESDAY

Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 midday

Sunday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

PLEASE NOTE: FROM 1ST OF JULY 2023 WE WILL NOW BE APPLYING AN ADMINISTRATION CHARGE OF $5.00 FOR EVERY AMENDMENT OF THE ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE DATE ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE EMAILED COSTING AND CONFIRMATION DETAILS. 

Please note that from the 1st of July 2023 we will now be applying an adminstration charge of $5.00 for each amendment of the arrival/depature date once you have received the emailed costing and confirmation details. 

*** On weekdays with prior notice (minimum of 24 hours) it may be possible to arrange arrivals/departures outside of our normal opening hours until 5.30 pm at the latest. However, please note an additional full night's boarding charge may apply for which no discounts are available.

EVERY WEDNESDAY, ALL NSW PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND MAKE-UP DAYS WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

MINIMUM STAYS

Please be advised due to time and cost implications we are unable to accept reservations of less than 2 nights at any time.

For any reservations which are subject to the Christmas nightly supplement a minimum stay of five nights is required.

All Discounts Are Now Applicable All Year including School Holidays (except for any nights which are subject to the Christmas Supplement).

Stays of 30 nights or over will attract a Long Stay Discount of 5% per night. 

SENIORS CARD DISCOUNT

Stays of under 30 nights will attract a Seniors Discount of 4.5%

Stays of 30 nights or over will attract a Long Stay Seniors Discount of 9%.

Please Note: A current and valid "NSW Seniors Card" must be sighted prior to any Seniors Discount being applied to your account. 

PRE-PAYMENT/DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS

For all bookings of 30 nights or over or when the total costing exceeds $500.00 a 50% Non Refundable Deposit is required at least 1 month before the commencement date of the reservation.

All bookings over the CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR period require a 50% Non Refundable Deposit to be received into our bank account by 1st December at the latest in order to hold your reservation. 

Please be advised that in certain circumstances we reserve the right to request payment in full prior to confirmation of your booking regardless of the duration of the reservation.

RESERVATION AMENDMENTS AND/OR CANCELLATIONS

Please note: In certain circumstances we reserve the right to request full payment of the original booking for any cancelled or amended reservations. This payment, if requested will be required before any future reservations will be accepted.
